For medico-legal reasons, results will not be given over the telephone, unless under exceptional circumstances. Patients must return to see their doctor to discuss results.
Repeat prescriptions are issued as part of a normal consultation. We do not take requests over the telephone. If you have a chronic medical condition requiring medication, we recommend you see your doctor at regular intervals for check ups and prescriptions.
Interruptions during the course of a consultation can be distracting for both doctor and patient. Most queries are best dealt with through consultation with your doctor. If it is not possible, the doctor will return your call at earliest convenience. Please note that full consultations cannot be conducted via telephone. If you feel you have a serious problem that requires immediate attention, please do not hesitate to call. One of our staff will speak with the doctor or ambulance service if necessary.
Stephensons Medical Centre has access to translating and interpreting service if required. Please make an appointment with reception for this service.
